Liquid X Freestyle launched in 2000 as a 3-round National Championship at the Chicago Air and Water Show over a 3-day period. LXF was founded by pro freestylers and is run by pro freestylers in efforts to offer the most fair competition. LXF created the first jet ski freestyle rule set as well as a complete scoring system for flat water freestyle, street freestyle & surf. A big-air double-up discipline was also introduced in 2001. Since its inception, LXF rider have performed in front of over 30 million live spectators at shows and competitions around North America.
International - Brazil
Liquid X Freestyle appeared briefly in Brazil as a street coarse with obstacles, mostly large inflatables, called Liquid Street. These events were too managed by local pro freestylers and were included in Brazilian jet ski videos at the time.
